I just HAD TO draw a boy with fans:)
Apart from cute boys, I really love fans. I own a few big ones myself and can't stop wondering why won't people use them as a finishig touch to their outfit, when it would be so convienient for them. Whatever people do, I take a fan with me everytime I'm going out and it's hot outside;) I especially love those big linen fans with Japanese, African or Malaysian landscapes painted on them, so nice;)
So I felt like drawing a cute boy with fans, which, btw, are the part of traditional Japanese outfit. I wanted to draw a guy, who'd seem experienced by life, but still had hope for better future. I don't like people who're openly pesimistic. They're poisoning my world with their complaints. It's ok to see what's wrong around you, but it's worse when you keep repeating yourself the whole day...

i agrre with you about the fan thing .. i have 3 of them .. chinese ...and i love the drawing and the his hair .. it's soo black .

his face.....looks a bit monkey-like. Maybe his mouth is a bit broad?

I wanted to try out a different style of drawing faces in this picture and see how it works out. Personally, I like his facial expression, although I must agree that he looks like a monkey. At least he's different from all of my other boys;D

You see, there's a relatively small amount of ppl who showed me that they liked this picture. But it's still one of my favourites among my works, so I'm very happy you like it:] Thank you so much :hug:
