Even if you're running as fast as you can, even if you're dying from exhaustion, you know perfectly well that you're not able to run away. When you're lost, making excuses is the worst thing you can do.
I showed this pic to my two friends and the opinions varied quite a lot. Actually, they both liked it, although they're both male But as the first one said he loves the close atmosphere of the piece, the other one had some straightforward ideas about what was that boy doing a few seconds ago Well, that's typical for men, I guess
The drawing is 100% pencil, with no computer touch-ups, except for the gray sky added in PS.
is this inked? I love it nice shading though a lil rough maybe... you worked with contrast quite well ^^ luving tha hair gheghe this guy looks nice! (I mean... nice! .) the blush is cute and the lips are very realistic the lip above looks a lil off but I dun get why and the hands are quite bony and small... somehow I think the fingers should be less showing off bones and be longer 0.o it seems the proportions are off if you compare the hands to each other.
I hope I helped ^^ and that I didn't just crushed your ego real badly... LoL

The truth - is not a thing of fact or reason. The truth - is just what everyone agrees on!
Haha Thank you for your comment Constructive criticism is always welcomed.
The drawing is not inked, cause I suck at inking;D And what is more, as a child I've learnt how to use a pen a bit oddly... I mean, not only am I left-handed, but even hold the pen at the wrong angle, so I constantly break all of my nibs and can't really use fountain-pens. So I don't I dont use any pens, except for ballpens
I don't know about the upper lip (it looks fine for me), but I can undestand what you're trying to tell when it comes to his hands & stuff. You see - I, myself, am quite skinny and what is more, have extremelly thin fingers. And it is said that people often draw characters who resemble themselves in a way - e.g. long-legged draw long-legged, big-footed draw big-footed and thin-handed draw thin-handed... even if it's not the best thing you can do. And oh, it only applies to these features, you don't have a complex about. But doing so is ok, as long as such proportion is possible in reality. Though, I may admit that his fingers could be different sizes;D It happens >< And about the proportions overall, they can seem a bit off, but in reality they're ok. It's just that his kimono covered his legs and generally the lower part of his body, and since it's dark, it "hides" itself within the picture. This way the white parts of the picture stick out, and so it could look like they're bigger than they're supposed to be. But really, they're ok. Trust me
Wow, what a long answer And you helped a lot, I'll try to pay even more attention to details next time
awesome! cool shading and looks really prime.....but if u look for mistakes u find em.......i agree with the above post.......ur proportions are slightly off........slightly
oh wow this is really great! I love the shading techniques used with the pencils. And a I respect you for getting the pencils that dark on the kimono. Bravo.
